Refshaleøen in Copenhagen

Refshaleøen is an island in the harbour of Copenhagen, which was mainly used as a shipyard from 1872 to 1996. The island is going through a rapid change and today it appears as an icon in the Danish history of industry. The island houses a lot of different workplaces, galleries, beach bars and restaurants. Refshaleøen has a very central placement and is easily accessible. It only takes around 15 minutes to reach the versatile island from central Copenhagen by bike.

URBAN RIGGER has created a floating student village in the harbour of Copenhagen. This is the first URBAN RIGGER project and it has 72 apartments. Happy students are living onboard today and are shaping their own sustainable community.

Discover their village through our Instagram page or take a peek at the Community page for recent updates on what they and the Copenhagen team are up to.

If you wish to rent an URBAN RIGGER apartment, please read more at our Apartments-site or contact us on our Contact site. You can also go directly to the application form on our Apply-site.

If you would like to know more about how the URBAN RIGGER project was created as a means to solve the global issue regarding a lack of student housing, you can read more about the situation and our solution to this issue on the About us site.
